Five More New Panda Cares Centers of Hope Open
At Panda Express, giving back is at the heart of everything they do. Through their Panda Cares initiative, they continue to bring comfort, joy, and support to children and families in hospitals across the country. Since April, we are thrilled to celebrate the opening of five new Panda Cares Centers of Hope, offering much-needed resources to those in need.
Congratulations to five of our member hospitals that had a Panda Cares Center of Hope open between August—September, 2025:
Corewell Health Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital
In August the group therapy space in the hospital’s medical psychiatry unit is now officially named the Panda Cares Center of Hope. See more.
Duke Children’s
The Panda Cares Center of Hope at Duke Children’s, is a special space offering children visiting the Emergency Department a safe haven — a private, kid-friendly waiting area designed to bring comfort and calm away from the adult waiting space, which can often feel overwhelming. As part of this generous commitment, the hospital is now also able to provide activity books for pediatric patients to help them better understand their visit and navigate the emergency department with confidence. St. Luke’s Children’s
The new Panda Cares Center of Hope playroom at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise opened in August — a bright, dedicated space where patients and their families can play, create, and connect outside the clinical setting. From art supplies and games to interactive group sessions and one-on-one support with child life specialists, this vibrant playroom offers a much-needed escape and a chance for joy during challenging times. This space is part of a bold 10-year commitment from Panda Express and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to support healing, hope, and holistic care for children and their families. Read more.
UMC Children’s Hospital
With support from Panda Express and the Panda Cares Center of Hope, this vibrant outdoor space brings play, comfort, and a sense of normalcy to kids and families throughout treatment. Kids can keep being kids. See more.
Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands
The Panda Cares Center of Hope Music Therapy Room at Children’s Hospital Midlands, made possible through the generosity of Panda Express, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and Prisma Health Midlands Foundation recenlty opened. This new space offers young patients a healing environment where music therapists can work with children to reduce anxiety, support emotional expression, and promote well-being during their hospital stay. With vibrant design, instruments, and programming tailored to each child, the room will be a sanctuary of hope and comfort for patients and their families. We’re proud to bring this resource to our community and look forward to seeing the joy and healing it brings. Read more.
